Feature Alert: Roster & Schedule Import and Better Texting!

We’re starting the new year off right with a couple of feature updates that are sure to make using TeamSnap even easier. Get ready to save a ton of time that you can use to work on those New Year Resolutions … or better yet, to perfect your nacho-making skills!

Roster and Schedule Imports

In the old caveman days of TeamSnap (like last month), if you wanted to add roster members or a schedule for your team, you had to input each entry one by one. Time consuming, right? Not any more. With these feature updates, you can upload a file (.XLS, .XLSX or .CSV), map the data to TeamSnap fields, and ta da! instant roster and instant schedule. Want more details on how to make the most of this update? Check out more info on roster imports here and on schedule imports here.

Coming Soon: New Smart Messages

We’re in the process of rolling out some updates to how we send text messages and are now calling them Smart Messages! We’re using a new, more reliable text delivery service and making some improvements to make our texts … well, smarter!

Remember with your old flip phone back in the early 2000s when you had to make sure you limited your text messages to a certain number of characters, or the message would be sent in multiple texts? The past was weird, right?

IMG_4396IMG_4364Until recently, our text messages subscribed to that old school of thought, sending you multiple texts when the coach sent you one of those super long reminders. With this update, which will be rolled out to all customers by mid-March, instead of sending chunky  texts, you’ll just receive one. If the message is too long to fit in that one text, you’ll get a link to the full message. Just click, read, and you’re done!

We hope these updates make TeamSnap easier for you. We’re constantly working to incorporate requests and improvements. If you have TeamSnap updates you’d like to see, tell us about them in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
